# Managing Your Connections

> How to view, fix, and manage your linked account connections.

The **Connections** screen is where you see all your linked institutions, check their status, and fix any issues.

## Where to find it

<Note>
  **On the web** ([app.mytruv.com](https://app.mytruv.com)) - **Connections** is in the sidebar, or go directly to `app.mytruv.com/data/connections`.

  **On iOS** - go to **Settings → Connections**.
</Note>

## What you'll see

Each active connection shows the institution name and logo, the number of linked accounts, the last sync time, and a status badge.

### Connection status badges

* **Connected** - everything is working and data is up to date
* **Syncing...** / **Logging in...** / **Created** - data is being pulled or the connection is still finishing setup; nothing for you to do
* **Awaiting MFA** - your bank wants a verification code. Tap the connection to provide it.
* **Login failed**, **Auth failed**, **Session expired**, **Account locked**, or **Error** - the connection needs your attention. Use the Fix flow below.
* **No data** - the connection was made but no account data came back. Check that your account at the institution has the expected information.
* **Unavailable** / **Not supported** - a temporary issue at the institution's side. Usually resolves on its own.
* **Disconnected** - the connection has been removed (or the link needs a manual reconnection). Relink it to restore data.

## Fixing connections that need attention

The **Fix** action relaunches the secure widget so you can sign in to your institution again.

<Note>
  **On the web** - any card with an issue shows a **Fix** button. Click it to reconnect that one institution.

  **On iOS** - if any connection is in an error state, a **Fix Connections** alert appears at the top of the Connections screen. Tap it to walk through each connection one at a time. After all are addressed, you'll see an **All Done!** confirmation.
</Note>

For step-by-step instructions, see [Reconnecting an Account](/accounts/reconnecting-accounts).

## Syncing your data

Most data syncs automatically in the background. To force a manual sync:

<Note>
  **On the web** - each non-payroll card has a **Refresh** button. To sync every connection at once, use **Sync All** at the top of the page.

  **On iOS** - pull down on the Accounts tab to refresh.
</Note>

See [Refreshing Your Account Data](/accounts/refreshing-account-data) for what gets refreshed and how often.

## Adding a new connection

See [How to Link Your Financial Accounts](/accounts/linking-financial-accounts).

## Disconnecting an institution

See [How to Remove an Account](/accounts/removing-an-account).

<Tip>If a connection keeps breaking, try disconnecting and relinking it. Some institutions periodically require a fresh sign-in.</Tip>
