# How Your Data Is Protected

> Learn about the security measures MyTruv uses to protect your financial data.

MyTruv takes the security of your financial data seriously. Here's how we protect your information.

## Encryption

* 256-bit AES encryption - Bank-grade encryption protects your data at rest
* Data in transit is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security), the same technology used by banks
* Bank credentials are never stored on our servers - they're handled by our secure banking data provider

## Authentication

* Face ID / Touch ID - Use biometric authentication for quick, secure access
* 4-digit PIN protection - Set a PIN as an alternative or backup to biometrics
* App lock - The app locks automatically when you switch away, with configurable lock timeout (1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or 1 hour)

## Data handling

* Your financial data is stored securely and accessible only to you
* We do not sell your personal financial data to third parties
* Read-only access - MyTruv can view your account data but cannot move money or make transactions on your behalf
* SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure

## Infrastructure security

* Regular security audits and testing
* Secure cloud infrastructure with redundancy
* Continuous monitoring for unauthorized access
