# Deleting and Restoring a Transaction

> Remove a transaction from your history and bring it back if you change your mind.

You can delete a transaction to take it out of your history and totals - and undo it right away if you change your mind.

<Tip>Deleting a transaction from its detail screen on iOS is available in MyTruv iOS 1.6 and later.</Tip>

## Delete a transaction

<Note>
  **On iOS** - open the transaction detail, tap the **...** (more) menu, and choose **Delete**. A confirmation toast appears with an **Undo** option for a few seconds.

  **On the web** ([app.mytruv.com/data/transactions](https://app.mytruv.com/data/transactions)) - open the transaction's menu and choose **Delete permanently**. An **Undo** option appears in the toast for a few seconds.
</Note>

A deleted transaction is removed from your list and no longer counts toward spending, cash flow, or category totals.

## Restore a deleted transaction

Deleted something by mistake? Tap **Undo** in the confirmation toast to bring the transaction straight back to your list and totals. The Undo option only stays for a few seconds after you delete, so use it right away.

<Note>Want to keep a transaction but leave it out of your totals? Use **Hide from totals** instead of deleting it - see [Viewing Your Transactions](/transactions/viewing-your-transactions).</Note>
