> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://help.mytruv.com/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Will This Affect My Credit? > Connecting bank or payroll accounts to MyTruv does not pull or report credit, and has no impact on your credit score. **No.** Connecting your accounts to MyTruv does not affect your credit score. ## No credit inquiries * **No credit checks.** Connecting a bank or payroll account doesn't trigger a hard or soft credit inquiry. * **No credit bureau involvement.** Connecting a bank or payroll account doesn't pull data from credit bureaus like Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion, and MyTruv does not report account activity to any credit bureau. ## What about Credit History? [Credit History](/accounts/credit-history) is the one connection that does retrieve your credit report from a credit bureau - that is its purpose. It works like checking your own score in a credit monitoring service: a soft check that has no impact on your credit score. MyTruv still never reports anything back to the bureaus. ## Read-only access * MyTruv has read-only access to your account balances, transactions, and pay statements. * MyTruv cannot open accounts, apply for credit, or take any financial action on your behalf. * Connecting an account is closer to checking your balance in your bank's own app than to applying for a new line of credit. ## All connected accounts The same applies to every account type MyTruv supports - checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and any investment or brokerage accounts surfaced through your bank connection.
