MyTruv tracks the money flowing into your accounts so you can see how much you earn, where it comes from, and how it changes over time.

Where to find your income

On the web (app.mytruv.com) - open Income from the sidebar. On iOS - open the Cash Flow screen. The Income section sits inside Cash Flow along with the cash-flow trend chart.

What you’ll see

When you have income data, the Income view combines several pieces:
  • Employment card - your current employer (or “Bank Income” if there’s no payroll connection), annual salary, pay frequency, and start date. If you have more than one income source, a switcher lets you jump between them - see Tracking Income from Multiple Employers.
  • Gross income chart - a bar chart of your earnings across recent pay periods, broken down by earning type when payroll is connected.
  • Net income chart (iOS) - the same time series with deductions stacked underneath so you can see what’s left after taxes and benefits.
  • Income breakdown - a single-paystub view you can toggle between Last paycheck, Year to Date, and any Older paycheck. Shows earnings, taxes, benefits, and net income side by side.
  • Pay statements list - your most recent paychecks; see Viewing Your Pay Statements.

Payroll vs bank income

MyTruv supports two data sources for income:
  • Payroll - a direct connection to your employer’s payroll provider. Unlocks the full breakdown: gross pay, taxes, benefits, retirement contributions, and pay stubs. This is the most detailed view.
  • Bank income - if you don’t have a payroll connection, MyTruv detects income from incoming deposits on your connected bank accounts. You’ll see totals and trends but not the full gross-vs-net breakdown.
If you only have bank income, you’ll see a “There’s more to your pay than deposits” banner with a Connect Payroll button. Tap it to add a payroll connection - see Connecting Your Payroll.

How income is identified

MyTruv automatically identifies incoming deposits as income based on the transaction details. Regular recurring deposits (like paychecks) are tracked over time so trends are reliable.
Connect your payroll for the most detailed view. Without it, MyTruv can still track totals and trends from deposits, but you won’t see pay stubs, tax withholdings, or the gross-vs-net split.
