Biometric authentication is currently available on iOS. The web app uses your Auth0 session - sign out from Settings when you’re done on a shared computer.
How to enable biometric authentication
- Open MyTruv and go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Toggle on Lock with Face ID (or Touch ID / Optic ID, depending on your device).
- Confirm with the system biometric prompt to activate.
When you’ll be prompted
The app locks after a period of inactivity - the timeout is configurable in App Lock Settings. When you return after the timeout, the lock screen shows an Unlock button that triggers biometric authentication. Returning to the app within the timeout window doesn’t prompt re-auth.Biometric and PIN are mutually exclusive
You can use biometric authentication or a PIN, but not both at the same time. Enabling biometric replaces an existing PIN as the active method, and setting a PIN disables biometric. To switch, toggle the one you want in Security & Privacy. If you can’t authenticate
The lock screen always offers a Log out button below the unlock control. Tapping it signs you out of MyTruv; signing back in re-engages the same lock the next time the app sits idle past the timeout. Use Log out if you can’t authenticate and want to start fresh.Related
