Global search is currently iOS only. On the web, data discovery happens by navigating to specific pages and using each page’s filters - see below.

On iOS

The Search tab on the bottom tab bar is a single search box that looks across many entity types at once.

What you can search for

  • Transactions - by merchant name or category (e.g. “Uber”, “groceries”)
  • Accounts - search by institution or account nickname
  • Insights - search the title or summary of any insight
  • Recurring inflows / outflows - search by name or category
  • Charts - 16 pre-built visualizations across Spending, Income, Recurring, Cash Flow, and Accounts (see Using the Chart Library)
  • App sections - typing “spending”, “transactions”, “accounts” etc. jumps you to the corresponding feature

Recent items

When the search bar is empty, the Search tab shows your recent items - whatever you tapped on most recently in past searches. Clear the list with the button in the header.

On the web

To find data on the web:
  • Transactions - open the Transactions page and use the Search merchant field at the top, plus filters for category, account, date, and amount
  • Spending data - the Spending page has its own filters by month and group-by (category / merchant)
  • Accounts - the Accounts page lists every connected account with balance and net worth
  • Income data - the Income page covers paychecks and income trends
  • Recurring data - the Recurring page has subscription and bill information
If you don’t remember exactly what you’re looking for on iOS, just start typing - the Search tab will pull in matches across every entity type so you can scan for the right one quickly.
