MyTruv pulls in transactions from all your connected accounts, giving you a unified view of every purchase, payment, and transfer.

Where to find your transactions

On the web (app.mytruv.com) - open Transactions from the sidebar. The full list lives at /data/transactions with filters, sort, and grouping controls at the top.On iOS - open the Transactions tab. The most recent transactions also appear on the Summary tab; tap “View all” to jump into the full list.

Transaction details

Tap (or click) any transaction to open its detail view:
  • Merchant name - where the transaction happened
  • Amount - signed; income shows in green
  • Date - posted date (and time when reported by the institution)
  • Status - Pending or Posted (see Understanding Transaction Status)
  • Category - the spending category MyTruv assigned
  • Account - which connected account it belongs to
  • Memo - any note the institution provided, if any
  • Transaction history - other recent transactions from the same merchant

Transaction actions

Per-transaction actions are web only today. Coming soon to iOS.
On the web, open the three-dot menu on any row or in the detail panel:
  • Change category - pick a new category from a searchable list. Apply the change to just that transaction, or to every transaction from the same merchant - past and future.
  • Rename merchant - give the transaction a cleaner name, or apply the new name to every transaction from the same merchant. The bank’s original name stays visible as secondary text.
  • Hide from totals - exclude a transaction from your spending summaries without deleting it. An Undo option appears in the toast for a few seconds.
  • Delete permanently - remove the transaction from your history. An Undo option appears in the toast for a few seconds.
  • Restore bank defaults - undo all your customizations (category, name, or visibility) and revert to the bank’s original values, for just that transaction or for all transactions from the same merchant.
Restore bank defaults can only undo the merchant in bulk if you originally applied your change to All [merchant] (a merchant-wide rule). If you instead customized several transactions of the same merchant one at a time using Only this transaction, each row has to be restored individually - the bulk option doesn’t sweep up those one-off edits.

Transaction list features

  • Transactions are grouped by date by default (newest first)
  • Pending transactions are marked with an amber Pending badge
  • Income (credits) is visually distinguished from expenses (debits)
  • Both platforms support grouping by time period or by merchant - see Grouping Transactions
On iOS, pull down on the transaction list to refresh. On the web, the list refreshes when you reload the page or change filters or pagination; use the Connections page if you need to pull fresh data from your institution.
