Offline access is an iOS-only feature. The MyTruv web app requires an active internet connection - if you’re offline on the web, you’ll see a connection error until your network is back.
When your iPhone loses internet, MyTruv falls back to your most recently synced data so you can still see what’s on your accounts.

What works offline (iOS)

On screens where MyTruv has previously loaded your data - Accounts, Transactions, Spending, Cash Flow, Income, Recurring, Insights - the app shows the last-synced version. A small banner appears at the top reminding you that you’re offline; you can tap the retry button in the banner to attempt a refresh. The cached data includes:
  • Account balances
  • Transaction history
  • Spending breakdowns
  • Recurring bills and income
Background sync pauses while you’re offline.

What needs a connection (iOS)

Some screens need live data and won’t work offline:
  • Assistant chat - sending messages and receiving responses
  • Feedback - submitting feedback requires a connection
  • Connecting a new account - linking financial institutions
  • Refreshing data - pulling the latest transactions and balances
On these screens, an offline error appears until you’re back online.

When you’re back online

Once your connection is restored, MyTruv automatically resumes background sync. To force an immediate refresh, pull down anywhere on Accounts, Transactions, Income, or Recurring.
