A PIN (Personal Identification Number) provides an additional layer of security for accessing your MyTruv app.

Setting up a PIN

  1. Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > App Lock
  2. Tap Create PIN
  3. Enter a 4-digit PIN
  4. Confirm your PIN by entering it again

When your PIN is used

  • As an alternative to Face ID or Touch ID
  • As a fallback when biometric authentication fails
  • When required for sensitive account actions

PIN best practices

  • Choose a unique PIN - Don’t reuse PINs from your bank cards or other apps
  • Avoid obvious patterns - Don’t use 1234, 0000, or your birth year
  • Keep it private - Never share your PIN with anyone
  • Change it periodically - Update your PIN every few months for extra security
If you forget your PIN and cannot use biometric authentication, you may need to sign out and sign back in to reset your app security settings.
For the best security, use both biometric authentication and a strong PIN as a backup.
