PIN lock is currently available on iOS. The web app uses your Auth0 session - sign out from Settings when you’re done on a shared computer.
Setting up a PIN
- Open MyTruv and go to Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Tap Create PIN.
- Enter a 4-digit PIN.
- Confirm by entering the same PIN again.
Changing your PIN
- Open Settings → Security & Privacy.
- Tap Change PIN.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Enter your new 4-digit PIN.
- Confirm by entering the new PIN again.
PIN and biometric authentication are mutually exclusive
You can use a PIN or biometric authentication, but not both at the same time. Setting up a PIN disables biometric, and enabling biometric replaces an existing PIN. To switch, toggle the one you want in Security & Privacy.Too many wrong attempts
After 5 wrong PIN entries in a row, the keypad locks for 30 seconds with a visible countdown (“Try again in N seconds”). Once the countdown finishes, you can keep entering PINs. The lock screen also offers a Log out button you can use at any time to sign out and start fresh.PIN best practices
- Choose a PIN you’ll remember. PIN recovery is limited - if you can’t remember it, contact support.
- Don’t reuse PINs. Avoid the same PIN you use for your bank card, phone, or other apps.
- Avoid obvious patterns. Sequences like 1234, repeated digits like 0000, or your birth year are easy to guess.
- Keep it private. Never share your PIN.
