App lock is currently available on iOS. The web app uses your Auth0 session - sign out from Settings when you’re done on a shared computer.
App lock keeps your MyTruv data behind a second factor - either biometric authentication or a 4-digit PIN - and locks the app after a period of inactivity.

How app lock works

Once you’ve enabled a lock method, MyTruv tracks how long the app has been idle. When the inactivity timeout passes, the app locks and you’ll need to authenticate the next time you open it. Returning to the app within the timeout window does not prompt re-auth.

Configuring the lock timeout

The Lock after picker appears in Settings → Security & Privacy once you’ve enabled biometric authentication or set a PIN. Choose one of:
  • 1 minute
  • 5 minutes (default)
  • 15 minutes
  • 1 hour
Pick a shorter timeout if you mostly use MyTruv on a phone you carry in a pocket or bag; longer if you’re on a device that stays with you.

Choosing an authentication method

App lock uses one method at a time: Biometric and PIN are mutually exclusive - enabling one disables the other. To switch later, toggle the one you want in Security & Privacy.
Enable either biometric or a PIN to take advantage of app lock - the inactivity timeout only takes effect once a lock method is active.
