Each transaction has a status that tells you where it is in the processing cycle. MyTruv shows the status exactly as reported by your financial institution.

Where you see the status

On the web - the Pending badge appears as an amber pill on the transaction row and again in the detail panel. Posted transactions don’t show a badge in the list, only in the detail panel. On iOS - the status appears as a dot indicator on the transaction detail sheet.

Transaction statuses

Pending

A pending transaction has been initiated but hasn’t fully processed yet. This is common for:
  • Recent purchases that haven’t been finalized by the merchant
  • Debit card transactions that are being authorized
  • Transfers that are still being processed
Pending transactions may:
  • Change in amount - the final posted amount might differ slightly (e.g. a restaurant tip added after the swipe)
  • Take 1-5 business days to become posted, depending on the institution
  • Be removed entirely if the transaction is canceled or the hold is released

Posted

A posted transaction has been fully processed and finalized. The amount is final and has been officially recorded by your financial institution.

What to watch for

  • Pending amounts may change - the final posted amount can differ from the pending amount
  • Pending transactions may disappear - if a hold is released or a transaction is voided, the pending entry is removed
  • Duplicate-looking entries - briefly you might see both a pending and a posted version of the same transaction; the pending one will drop off once posting is complete
MyTruv reflects what your bank reports - it doesn’t change a transaction’s status on its own. If you have concerns about a specific transaction (unauthorized charge, stuck in pending for over a week, etc.), contact your bank directly.
