MyTruv automatically categorizes your transactions to help you understand where your money goes. You can filter transactions by category to focus on specific types of spending.
How to filter by category
- Navigate to your transaction list
- Tap the Filter or Category option
- Select one or more categories to filter by
- Your transaction list will update to show only matching transactions
Available categories
MyTruv uses standard spending categories such as:
- Food & Drink - Restaurants, groceries, coffee shops
- Shopping - Retail purchases, online shopping
- Transportation - Gas, rideshares, public transit, parking
- Entertainment - Movies, events, streaming services
- Health & Wellness - Doctors, pharmacy, gym memberships
- Bills & Utilities - Phone, internet, electricity, water
- Travel - Hotels, flights, car rentals
- Education - Tuition, books, courses
- Personal Care - Hair, clothing, beauty

How categories are assigned
Transactions are automatically categorized based on merchant information. Most transactions are accurately categorized, but you may occasionally notice a transaction in an unexpected category.
Use category filters to quickly see how much you’ve spent at restaurants this month, or to find all your subscription charges.
